We have strange colors…
Have you ever wondered why our Cherry Blossom design is called Freckles Garden?
Or why we have a harness with White Sharks on it?
Mikayla and I receive a lot of emails and messages telling us to change the names of our colors to something more easily recognizable.
But for us each unique color has a meaning and purpose that helps make ShawnCo such an amazing dog brand, and I’m going to tell you why.
Freckle’s Garden
In 2022, after 16 amazing years of life and joy, we lost our beloved Chihuahua Freckles.
To us, Freckles was the perfect vision of lightness, happiness and the beauty in nature, and shortly after her passing we came out with this design to honor her.
This is our favorite pattern and every time I see flowers now I think of my amazing best friend.
White Sharks
Why in the world do we have a pattern with Sharks on it?!
Well because they are awesome! :)
(And arguably just misunderstood sea puppies)
As a kid I had a huge (irrational) fear of sharks, (call it a sharkphobia of sorts), and as I got older I started to see how beautiful and amazing they really are.
After Mikayla and I got married we went to swim with them in Hawaii helping to conquer my fear of them. (Kinda lol)
So to honor these amazing aquatic puppies we came out with a design to show our love and appreciation for them.
Mustang Red
This one is pretty simple to explain.
Growing up my dream car was a red Mustang, and when we started Shawnco we knew we had to include this vibrant color!
Icy Lilac
This color holds a special place in my heart.
Icy Lilac was created to honor one of my favorite people and a huge supporter of loving puppies everywhere, my Grandma who passed away around Christmas in 2021.
With Icy Lilac being her favorite color, we launched it to the world in Spring of 2022 as our way of honoring all that she did for us and for the dog community.
I know she would feel so proud and honored that now many dogs are wearing her color all across the country.
Oceanic Blue and Pacific Blue
Everytime Mikayla and I look out across the vast blue ocean we feel a sense of peace and calm that we wanted to share with others.
As our way of celebrating our love for the ocean and bringing joy to others we created these colors of blue Oceanic and Pacific.
Military Camo and Stars and Stripes
Mikayla and I, like so many others, have family members and friends who proudly serve our country.
To honor them and those like them, we created the Stars and Stripes, and the Military Camo designs to show our support for everything they have given to us.
Wolf Moon
So far we’ve come out with colors that honor our ancestors but what about the ancestors of man's best friend?
To celebrate the ancestors of man’s best friend and the incredible beauty of the vast American West I personally designed this pattern to honor all the best friends who came before.
Montana Daydream
Of all the places we’ve been, Montana is one of our top picks.
From hiking in Glacier National Park to the amazing restaurants and off leash dog trails in Bozeman- this state has something for everyone.
We created this design to showcase the Rocky Mountains with a beautiful lake, wild horse and prairie setting, so everyone could experience a taste of Montana.
