A Dog's Spirit Can Never Be Broken..
The other day I heard a remarkable story about a wonderful poodle named Milo and I knew I had to share it with you.
Not much is known about Milo and his early life, but we do know he was abandoned somewhere near the Appalachian mountains when he was just a puppy.
Infact, the area where he was abandoned is so impoverished that the local shelters are overflowing with animals and can’t take anymore in.
Which causes people to drive and dump sweet babies like Milo deep in the mountains to fend for themselves…
After surviving for a while on his own, Milo was finally found wandering outside Oldtown MD, which has a population of only 86 people…
But unfortunately his troubles were not over yet…
Still impoverished Milo would try to dig under the fence that separated the family that found him from some neighbors chickens and the neighbor didn’t like that.
So he did the unthinkable and started shooting at Milo…
Thankfully the family took Milo to the Tri-State All Breed Rescue where his luck finally started to change.
The team at Tri-State All Breed Rescue immediately jumped into gear tending to Milo's cuts and infections and doing everything they could to find him a new forever home.
Shortly after Milo arrived, the rescue reached out to a woman named Elizabeth, who had rescued her first poodle, Ivy, a few years back from them. She was more than happy to adopt Milo and make him a part of her family.
After being with his new mom, Elizabeth, for about a month, Milo is starting to let his guard down and settle into his new forever home.
As it turns out, Milo is one of the sweetest boys ever; all he wants is unconditional love from everyone he meets, which serves as a constant reminder that every dog deserves a chance to be loved!
Milo’s story is one of inspiration, hope and resilience and a true testament to a dog's spirit.
That's why Mikayla and I are so happy to announce that Milo is our October Ambassador of the month! 🥳🐶
Normally, the Ambassador would get a free Harness, Leash and Collar completely on us, but Elizabith has other plans…
Since Milo is already sporting the latest and greatest ShawnCo gear she has elected to donate her new gear to a local shelter to support another dog like Milo who needs it.
And we couldn’t be happier.
Because it’s people like Elizabeth and dogs like Milo that inspire us everyday to love and support dogs everywhere.
Thanks for reading!
Until next time,
ShawnCo!
